Why Melody Makers
Melody Makers is one of Dubai’s longest-running music and fine arts centres, founded in 1997. Across nearly three decades we have trained thousands of Dubai students in music, dance and art, from absolute beginners through to Trinity College London Grade 8, ABRSM and ATCL diplomas. Many of our original students are now bringing their own children to the same studio.
- Registered Trinity College London Exam Centre. Students sit graded practical and theory exams at our own studio in piano, keyboard, guitar, drums, violin, singing and music theory. We also prepare students for ABRSM.
- 17+ instruments and disciplines under one roof. Piano, electronic keyboard, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, violin, Western and Hindustani vocals, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Western dance, Bollywood, Salsa, Garba, drawing, painting and mixed media.
- A faculty that has stayed. Our Head of Faculty has been teaching at Melody Makers since 2011, and several teachers have been with us for over 15 years. Continuity is rare in Dubai music schools, and it shows up in the results.
- A track record of UAE Toppers and Distinctions. Multiple students have secured UAE Topper positions in Trinity practical and theory exams, with results regularly above 95% and several perfect 100s.
- In-studio and online. Most lessons happen in our Karama studio. Online options are available for families further from Bur Dubai, with the same teachers and the same syllabus.

Why Karama, and why that matters
Melody Makers has been at the same Karama Centre address for close to three decades. Our original generation of students are now bringing their own children. We have watched the neighbourhood change. The metro arrived, restaurants came and went, the skyline shifted, but our studio has stayed put.
That continuity matters for three reasons.
- Price. A long-standing Karama rent arrangement keeps our fees meaningfully below most Dubai music schools operating in newer, higher-rent neighbourhoods like Jumeirah, Downtown or JLT.
- Stability. Same walk-in experience, same tea in reception, many of the same teachers and admin staff. Families who joined a decade ago still recognise the room.
- Access. Karama is one of the most centrally connected neighbourhoods in Dubai. ADCB Metro is a 4 minute walk, parking is on-site, and major roads (Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid, Al Khaleej) put us within 15 to 25 minutes of most of the city.
Karama itself is the home of Dubai’s Indian, Sri Lankan and Filipino communities, and our student base reflects that, with strong representation from Bur Dubai, Oud Metha, Al Wasl, Mirdif and Dubai Festival City.
