Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 May 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of melodymakers.ae, adm.melodymakers.ae, and any other digital service we operate (together, the “Site”), as well as any class, bundle, trial, examination, or programme delivered by Melody Makers Music & Fine Arts Centre LLC-SO, trade licence 130222, with its studio at C 110, Karama Center, Kuwait Road, Al Karama, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Melody Makers”, “we”, or “us”).

By using the Site, booking a class, creating an account, or purchasing a bundle, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make a purchase, or enter into any contract with us. Children under 18 may attend classes and examinations only when enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the child's behalf and remains responsible for the child's conduct, attendance, and payment.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Some parts of the Site require an account. We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in: when you enter your email, we send a one-time link that signs you in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. Notify us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these Terms, for fraud, or in a way that disrupts our service.

4. Trial lessons

Trial lessons are complimentary and intended as a single, no-commitment introduction to a class or teacher. We may decline trial requests at our discretion (for example, if no suitable slot is available). Trials do not guarantee a seat in a paid bundle or recurring class.

5. Paid classes, bundles, and examinations

When you purchase a coding bundle or any other paid programme, you enter into a contract for the number of sessions, duration, and inclusions described at the point of sale. Bundle details (session count, age range, format, price) appear on the relevant product page and are repeated on the Stripe checkout summary before payment.

Examination fees (Trinity College London, ABGMVM, etc.) are set by the examining body and are non-refundable once the entry has been submitted on your behalf.

6. Pricing, currency, and taxes

All prices are shown in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) unless stated otherwise. Prices are inclusive of any applicable UAE Value Added Tax (VAT); educational services that meet the criteria for zero-rating are not subject to additional VAT. We may change prices for future enrolments without notice; the price you pay at checkout is the price you owe for the bundle you bought.

7. Payment

Online payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting a payment, you authorise Stripe to charge the card or payment method you provide for the full amount displayed at checkout. Failed or chargeback-disputed payments may result in suspension of access until the matter is resolved.

In-studio payments may be made in cash or by bank transfer to our UAE account, against an invoice issued by us.

8. Scheduling, attendance, and make-ups

Class days, times, and teachers are agreed when you enrol. We may reschedule individual sessions where reasonably necessary (teacher illness, public holidays, force majeure) and will offer a make-up session within a reasonable period.

If you cannot attend a scheduled class, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We offer one rescheduled make-up per bundle for any student-initiated absence; further absences are forfeited.

9. Refunds and the first-session guarantee

Coding bundles are covered by a first-session money-back guarantee: if your child is not engaged after the first session, we refund the entire bundle. The full conditions and process are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Code of conduct

We expect students, parents, and staff to treat each other with respect. While in our studio, on our online classes, or in any Melody Makers communication channel, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person.
  • Record, photograph, or stream a class without prior consent from us and the participants.
  • Damage instruments, equipment, or studio property.
  • Disrupt classes or use abusive language.
  • Use the Site to send spam, malware, or unlawful content.

Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.

11. Photographs and media

Photographs and videos of classes, performances, recitals, and student work are sometimes used for newsletters, social media, and marketing. We will only publish images of a minor with explicit parental consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to info@melodymakers.ae.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, images, videos, designs, curriculum, lesson plans, and software, is owned by Melody Makers or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and trade-mark law in the UAE and internationally. You may view and personally use the Site, but you may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of it without our written permission.

Student work created in our classes (including coding projects) belongs to the student. By submitting work for showcases or competitions, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it for educational and promotional purposes.

13. AI tools used in classes

Our coding programmes use third-party AI tools (such as Cursor, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI Codex/ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and similar). These tools are subject to their providers' own terms and may have minimum age requirements that we apply through supervised classroom accounts. Students should not use these tools at home with their own accounts unless their parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted the provider's terms.

14. Third-party services and links

The Site may link to or integrate third-party services (Stripe, Google, Meta, Trinity College London, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the Site accurate, secure, and available, but we provide it “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will achieve any particular result.

Educational progress depends on practice, engagement, and individual factors. We make no guarantee of examination results, performance outcomes, or future earnings from any skill taught.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific bundle, class, or programme that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data, or reputation.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under UAE law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

18. Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time and may close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access or enrolment if you breach these Terms, if payment fails, or if continued service becomes impossible or unlawful.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply after termination.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. For material changes that affect an existing purchase, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
