About Our Bass Guitar Classes
Bass guitar classes at Melody Makers in Dubai are one-to-one, 1-hour lessons for teens and adults, available at our Karama studio and online via Zoom. Students learn fingerstyle, plectrum technique, slap and pop, and bass line construction across rock, funk, jazz, R&B and pop. Short-scale instruments make the bass accessible from age 10, and our personalised format builds the timing, groove and musicianship every band needs.
Every bass guitar lesson is a full one-hour, one-to-one session. Students learn fingerstyle and plectrum technique, walking bass lines, slap and pop, scale patterns and how to construct bass lines from chord charts. Our instructors draw from rock, funk, jazz, R&B, pop and Bollywood to keep lessons diverse and engaging.
Melody Makers emphasises the bass as more than just a background instrument. We teach students to listen deeply, to understand their role in an ensemble, and to develop the musicianship that makes a bass player indispensable. The bass demands solid timing, groove and musicianship - qualities that our personalised one-to-one instruction develops systematically.
