About Our Violin Classes
Violin classes at Melody Makers in Dubai are one-to-one, 1-hour lessons for all ages, available at our Karama studio and online via Zoom. As a Registered Trinity College London Exam Centre, we prepare students from Initial through Grade 8 across classical, Bollywood and contemporary repertoire. Fractional-size violins let children start from age 4, building exceptional ear training and discipline from the very beginning.
Every violin lesson is a full one-hour, one-to-one session. Students learn proper bow hold, left-hand positioning, intonation, bowing techniques (detaché, legato, staccato, spiccato), vibrato and musical phrasing. Our instructors bring classical training and performance experience, teaching repertoire that spans classical masterworks, film music, Bollywood favourites and contemporary styles.
As a Registered Exam Centre of Trinity College London, we prepare violin students for graded examinations from Initial through to Grade 8. Our exam preparation programme includes in-house mock exams, progress monitoring and specialist workshops.
Violin study also provides a strong foundation for orchestral and ensemble playing. Many families in Dubai choose the violin for their children because of the discipline, ear training and cultural enrichment it provides.

Who Is This For?
Young Beginners
4–7 years
Fractional-size violins (1/8, 1/4, 1/2) ensure comfort. A Suzuki-inspired approach makes early learning enjoyable, building a keen ear and love of music before formal notation.
Children
8–12 years
Structured progression through technique, repertoire and optional Trinity exam preparation. Children at this age often make rapid progress and develop a deep connection with the instrument.
Teenagers
13–17 years
Advanced technique development, broader repertoire and exam preparation for those pursuing formal qualifications.
Adults
18+ years
Whether starting late or returning after years away, our adult violin lessons are tailored to your aspirations. Online lessons via Zoom make scheduling flexible.
Trinity College London Exam Preparation
Melody Makers is a Registered Exam Centre of Trinity College London. We prepare violin students for internationally recognised graded examinations from Initial through to Grade 8. Our exam preparation programme includes:
