What is Mixed Media?
Mixed media is the practice of combining multiple materials and techniques (paint, collage, ink, photography, found objects) into a single artwork. Students learn material compatibility, layering, composition, and how to develop a coherent visual style across mediums. Our Mixed Media classes in Dubai serve ages 8+, in-studio at Karama with all materials provided.
Visual arts are the one subject where slow looking is the lesson. We hand a child a pencil, a piece of paper, and time, and we watch them learn to see what they are looking at, often for the first time. That skill spills into every other subject they study.
